LG revealed its decision to exit the mobile phone market back in 2021. Now, LG is gearing up to shut down its smartphone update servers in just over two months. Post this, LG smartphones will no longer be able to install new Android OS updates.

Samsung and GSMA have entered into a collaborative endeavour to improve connectivity on Samsung Galaxy-branded handsets. The phones running on Android 15 with One UI 7 skin on top will now come with VoLTE support by default. Currently, users are required to manually enable VoLTE connectivity on supported devices. VoLTE support for smartphones is said to improve both voice call quality as well as 4G and 5G network connectivity.

Global smartphone shipments recorded a slight year-on-year (YoY) growth of 0.2 percent for the January-March period (Q1) in 2025, according to a new report by market research firm Canalys. iQOO has unveiled the Z10 Turbo Pro and the Z10 Turbo handsets in China. They are equipped with 50-megapixel dual rear camera units alongside 16-megapixel selfie shooters. HMD confirmed on Monday that it will launch Direct-to-Mobile (D2M) phones in collaboration with Free Stream Technologies and other D2M partners.
