Apple is working on new chips for its upcoming Mac computers that are expected to arrive in 2026 and 2027, according to a Bloomberg report. The company's Apple Silicon chips were first unveiled in 2020, and Apple is expected to launch new Mac computers with its next-generation M5 chip later this year. It is also said to be developing new chips for its AI servers, to process Apple Intelligence requests in the cloud.
Lenovo Legion 9i was announced at the Tech World Shanghai 2025 on Thursday. It is introduced as a gaming-centric laptop, powered by Intel Core Ultra 9 chipset, complemented by DDR5 RAM and PCIe Gen 5 SSD. Huawei on Thursday announced HarmonyOS 5, its first-ever self-developed operating system (OS) for PCs at the HarmonyOS Computer Technology and Ecosystem Communication event in China. It is said to be based on the company’s HarmonyOS Next mobile OS which was announced in October 2024 and has been developed independently of Android. Huawei claims it has been rebuilt from the kernel with enhancements made to HarmonyOS Base, HarmonyOS Ecosystem, and HarmonyOS Experience. It can support up to 1,000 external peripherals.
